The Cons:Occasionally lags for a few seconds when you switch between functions. Tends to get smudged up quickly.

The HTC S740 is a higher end smartphone. It is supposed to be stylish, and has a glossy black frame with sliding QWERTY keypad. The keypad slides out automatically with a button control, and the display is 2.4" diagonal.

The Operating System is Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard, and this includes PocketOffice document viewer/editor as well as PocketIE Internet browser and Outlook email synchronization. It has a 3.2-megapixel digital camera with video capture as well as a GPS receiver. It also has an mp3 player, Bluetooth wireless and Wi-Fi connectivity. The S740 is supposed to be fast-operating, with a 528MHz processor and 256MB of RAM. Internal flash memory is 256MB and this can be expanded with a microSD card. Standard battery life is around 6.5 hours of talk time per charge. Other features include USB 2.0, threaded-view SMS messaging and 7.2Mbps data transfer of 3G HSDPA.
