HTC Touch Viva
$299.00
Released January, 2001
The Pros:Still has the same decent screen, GPS, and majority of connectivity options. Amazing phone for the undemanding consumer. Is sold for a competitive price without any contractual agreements.
The Cons:Similar outward appearance may confuse unwary customers as to the severely lower performance. Much poorer internal componentry compared to the Touch 3G.
Not yet formally introduced but planned for release in early October 2008, the HTC Viva is a toned down version of the current Touch 3G. With no 3G connection, the Viva is planned to be a quad-band GSM/EDGE only.
