i-mate JASJAM

$300.00 Released December, 2006

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Screen is large and vivid - "Pocket PC" functions feel very similar to a full-sized machine. Ringer volume is highly versatile - large dynamic range between threshold and maximum level. Battery life is outstanding - up to 200 standby hours available on a single charge (4.5h talk time).

The Cons:Manual menu navigation can be frustrating - digit keys and side-mounted scroll wheel lack responsiveness. "Next G" data services tend to be rather costly as compared to 3G and 4G services from Bell/Telus. Prone to freezing and other bugs - many reports of white-screening/blank-outs after less than a year of use.

The i-mate JASJAM is a mid-range sliding smartphone handset, enabled for the 3G network and designed to be a PDA/phone combination. It has a large, 2.8"-diagonal 65k-color touchscreen with stylus and handwriting recognition, and the screen slides horizontally to access a full QWERTY keypad.
