The Nokia E71-1 is the original European release of the E71 smartphone. It is 3G-enabled, and quad-band receptive on the 2G network. It features a full QWERTY keypad and large, 2.36" display with 16 million colors.

It is designed to be a multi-purpose smartphone, competitive with products like RIM's BlackBerry devices. It has a 3.15-megapixel digital camera with LED flash and autofocus, and also features a secondary VGA camera for video calling. The E71-1 comes with a built-in mp3 and MPEG4 player, as well as FM radio receiver. It is Wi-Fi enabled, has an HTML browser, and uses the Symbian OS v9.2. Internal memory is 110MB, and there is a microSD card slot to expand. The E71 has very long battery life, with up to 10.5 hours of talk time on the 2G network.

#nokia_e71_1 my nokia E71, made in Korea has problem on wi-fi..it says, "connected to wi-fi" but it always appear "NO GATEWAY REPLY"..i have tried all the instructions to connect in the manual but seems no work at all.. everytime, i am in a wi-fi zone, it appears "WLAN found" ,,BUT IF I BROwSE in a website..it appears "NO GATEWAY REPLY" I purchased this unit last April 8, 2011 and i am disappointed because I purchased this model because of its wi-fi capability. Please help me, Nokia people...All my celphones are NOKIA, so I am nokia fanatic, but this E71 gives me problem.....please help me fix the problem....
