The Pros:Great battery life. Handles rough handling very well.

The RIM BlackBerry Curve 8310 is a 2G-based PDA smartphone released in August 2007 as an upgrade from the original Curve 8300 (May 2007). Available in red and titanium, the Curve 8310 adds along built-in GPS capabilities, while maintaining its predecessors’ every other feature, including quad-band GSM connectivity, an integrated audio/visual player, and a 2MP camera that unfortunately does not support video capture.

Like its predecessor, the Curve 8310 features the Blackberry OS operating system, as well as instant messaging capabilities and, even more importantly, compatibility with advanced communications services like Microsoft Exchange, IBM Lotus, and Novell GroupWise, to name a few. Plus the Curve supports Bluetooth wireless technology, object exchange, and dial-up networking, meaning it can be used as a wireless modem for one's laptop.

ScottP: Finally after months of waiting I got my
#samsung_captivate_sgh_i897 !!! Upgrading from a
#rim_blackberry_curve_8310 is like going from the outhouse to the penthouse. The Super AMOLED screen is as impressive as advertised. Samsung's Touchwiz interface is what I'm enjoying most about the phone. It allows a more efficient home screen that's not cluttered with Apps I never use. I've already added the "Daily Briefing" and "Feeds and updates" widgets and both are great. As frustrated as I was waiting so long for this phone it was definitely worth the wait.
