RIM BlackBerry Curve 8330
$400.00
Released May, 2008
The Pros:Excellent call quality. Standard BlackBerry keyboard really is great for texting/emailing. Good compromise between the Pearl 8130 and the 8830 World Edition (QWERTY keyboard without the expensive world-roaming capabilities).
The Cons:Low-quality 2 megapixel camera. Doesn't have WiFi support. Keyboard is a little cramped for those with bigger hands.
The RIM BlackBerry Curve 8330 is a smartphone available from both Sprint Mobile and Verizon Wireless. Unlike the original Curve 8300, the 8330 operates on CDMA2000/EV-DO networks, includes an integrated GPS receiver, hosts more memory, and features a 2MP camera that captures both stills AND video content.

Other features remain the same, including a 2.4” QVGA landscape display, a QWERTY keyboard, and microSD expansion options. The 8330 is primarily geared towards business professionals, as its powerful BlackBerry desktop software allows users to manage calendar, tasks, contacts, and email synchronization via a desktop; sync data with ASCII importer/exporter, Outlook Express, Outlook, and Yahoo; access online texting services like AIM; and optional applications (Sprint: MoviTV; Verizon: Navigator) based on the service provider chosen.
