$220.00 Released February, 2007

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Good build quality and materials. Good camera quality (but no flash). Qwerty keyboard is well laid out and typing feel is good.

The Cons:AT&T limits certain applications. Poor battery life relative to its competitors. Poor signal quality.

The Samsung i607 BlackJack is a 3G-enabled smartphone with very similar design to the Samsung I600, released around the same time. The main differences between the two are that the BlackJack does not have a secondary VGA camera for video calling, and it is also not capable of Wi-Fi Internet access.

These downgrades from the i600 give the BlackJack a lower price point. The BlackJack also has better reception capabilities than the i600, with quad-band 2G GSM coverage, and dual-band 3G coverage. Aside from these, the phones are the same. They both have 64MB of internal RAM and 128MB of ROM with microSD card slot expansion up to 4GB. The i607 uses Windows Mobile 5.0 and includes the Pocket Office Suite as well, and has a 1.3-megapixel camera with video capture.
