Samsung OMNIA LITE

$525.00 Released September, 2009

Product Shot 1The OMNIA LITE is a mid-range 3G smartphone, to be released soon by Samsung on Verizon's network in the United States. It is a less advanced, cheaper version of the high-end OMNIA II, although the two models have many similarities in features.

The LITE's touch screen is smaller at 3.0", and doesn't incorporate OLED technology, but the user interface is largely the same, with widgets, drag-and-drop functionality, and Opera Web browser. While the OMNIA II is available with up to 16 GB of storage, the LITE features only 250 MB, and so couldn't carry more than a few dozen songs or several short videos without expanding the onboard memory via microSD. Like the OMNIA II, the LITE runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 and features a camera, GPS navigator, and accelerometer.
